Project: Redcliffe Point, 40 St Thomas Street, Bristol
Client: Roundwood Ltd Value: £9.53m Contract: JCT 1998 with Contractors Design Duration: 59 weeks
The existing building was converted and extended providing office accommodation on four floors, with basement car parking, including the creation of a new central atrium through each office floor, together with a new access ramp to a basement car park.
The scheme aimed to re-use as much of the existing building as possible and yet produce a thoroughly contemporary design with a new curved façade, incorporating triple height oriel windows. New residential accommodation consisting of 14 two storey, two bedroom units, was created above the offices, arranged around a roof top courtyard and accessed from a separate entrance. |
