The project comprised the refurbishment of laboratories and academic accommodation, involving the construction of new 2 and 3 storey circulation corridors, lift shaft and adaptations for DDA compliance in the central courtyards; the internal refurbishment of existing accommodation to form accommodation for the Education Department and to form new laboratories and academic accommodation.

Also included in the contract was the refurbishment of student services areas, a 3-storey extension to form a new entrance and additional accommodation for meeting rooms and the remodelling external works and drainage to suit the new layouts
