Project: Extra Care Centre, Cattedown, Plymouth
Client: Signpost Housing Association Value: £3.3m Contract: JCT 1998 with Contractors Design Duration: 60 weeks
The scheme involved the design and construction of a 30-bed Extra Care Centre in the Cattedown area of Plymouth.
In the design process Cowlin worked closely with the employer’s assessors, design team and our supply chain to assimilate the requirements for Eco-Homes “Good” rating. This project is also built to a government initiative Scheme Development Standard. Traditionally built of load bearing masonry construction, with timber truss and slate roofing, the accommodation provides modern independent living accommodation serviced to provide Warden supervision and extra care facilities. In addition community office accommodation is provided on the ground floor. |
