Construction of a new Breast Screening Unit comprising three mammography rooms, one ultrasound room, processing room, counselling facilities, filing, consulting and report rooms; offices, radiographer accommodation, staff facilities, waiting and circulation areas.

The project also included the construction of a stair/lift well, providing access to three floor levels.

The overall gross internal area was 580 sq. m. and it was necessary to break through from the new stairwell into the existing adjacent Ladybird Unit, which was fully occupied throughout the contract.
