The project provides 120 no. self contained retirement apartments in three timber frame four-storey blocks, each with a different layout. Central facilities include shops, a communal recreational hall, hairdresser, beauty salon, restaurant and gym facilities.

The apartments are constructed in timber frame with a mixture of coloured render, face brickwork and cedar cladding. The communal areas are traditional masonry construction. Heating is supplied from a central biomass boiler which is housed in its' own energy centre building.

The project was secured through a two- stage design and build process, utilising the PPC 2000 partnering contract.
